Heading South Today

You've probably seen the news reports on the nuclear reactor explosions north of Tokyo. It's all that is showing on the news channels here. Pretty scary stuff, and its not even clear in Japan exactly what has happened. Was the core damaged, was it a steam explosion, is there any radioactivity leaked? And BBC News suggested that the Japanese government have censored information like this in the past, which makes you wonder what is really going on.

We are currently at Tokyo station waiting for the bullet train to Kyoto, which is many hundreds of miles south of Tokyo.

Feels like the best thing to be doing today, but most importantly, we are really looking forward to getting to Kyoto... every picture we have seen so far looks amazing. Can't wait...
