Milk Shakes @Homecafe

Leanne had read about the maid cafes in Akihabara, which are said to be a must see Japanese experience, where young girls dress up in French maid outfits and serve you as master and mistress. Bit kinky!!!

She was a bit nervous about going into any of the cafes as they'd been described as male dominated venues. However, we got more than lucky with the @Homecafe! Lol! We got to the forth floor and the place did seem a bit seedy, but the sixth floor was milk shakes and candy floss - we headed in...

We were introduced (yes literally they announced us!!!!!) and a young Japanese girl dressed as a French maid led us to our table and 'invited' us to drink milkshakes and eat ice cream sundaes... Frigging surreal... Our menu consisted of fruit milkshake, ice-cream sundae, a game and a Polaroid of us with the maid of our choice (and oh yes they brought us a photo gallery from which to choose the maid we preferred!!)

It was the most surreal experience but also the most fun and innocent (bizarrely) it was just slightly odd!!! Other 'gentlemen' seemed to find it much more appealing so maybe they were offered a different service, who knows?!!!

In the end, we didn't play any games but we did get our photo taken which had to be one of the most embarrassing experiences of Andy's life.. Bunny ears and all...
