Tremors all night long

It was very difficult to sleep last night as we were constantly woken up by the tremors of the aftershocks. There must have been at least 5 or 6 occurrences of this, where the building creaked and shook for around 30 seconds each time. There were a couple of times where you could feel it swaying and it was quite unnerving.

You could also hear a lot of emergency services sirens going off in the streets, so we think these aftershocks have had some impact.

We had our clothes by our bed, ready to get up and go if needed. The iPad also forms a key part of our "emergency" pack, as it's proving to be the only way we can communicate with you all back home.

We do want to make sure everyone knows that we are completely fine and don't think it has effected our hotel in any way.

We will keep you updated,

Andy and Leanne
